Dear Shipmates and Friends,
First I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope that your holiday season was joyful and safe and may 2011 bring you and your family nothing but good health and prosperous times.
As we begin the New Year the USS Goldsborough Association has finalizes plans for the 2011 reunion to be held in Cincinnati Ohio beginning on Sunday, September 11th. All of our reunions have been great times, in great cities and this year has all the makings of another outstanding reunion.
Pat and Connie Taylor have volunteered to coordinate this year's gathering and have created an agenda, hotel accommodations, tours and events that will again prove to be a great time for all.
Here are the links for registration, the reunion agenda and more:

There is just so much to do in the Greater Cincinnati area and Pat has provided plenty of time for those who want to explore on their own and Connie has allowed more than enough time for the ladies to shop.
Although we officially begin on the 11th, Pat will offer the free airport shuttle beginning on Friday the 9th and the Hospitality Suite will be open on the 10th for any of the early birds.
Why come early? As mentioned, there is a lot to do aside from an early trip to the Hollywood casino as the Greater Cincinnati area has a diverse variety of entertainment. From Broadway caliber shows and plays, sporting events, horse racing and some of the most exiting cultural museums in the USA. The weekend of September 10th and 11th is Oktoberfest just two blocks from the hotel. If you like beer and brats this is for you.
Our reunions are family based events, save for maybe the auction which has a large R rating. So family and friends are always welcome and encouraged to attend. The contact information for the hotel and both the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Visitor Bureaus are included on the agenda/information form along with web sites for the places we will visit and other area attractions. If you have any special question, needs or request, please call Pat on his cell at 937-533-0897 or Connie at 937-533-0900.
The link for making hotel reservations can be found here. They offer smoking rooms but the number is limited. Please take advantage of the early registration discounts as $85 a night with a full breakfast buffet included is a great deal for this downtown location.
Hope to see you there!
Roy Hoffman, President
USS Goldsborough Association
